Buffalo are big, when you kill big ones...
Don't believe for a second that all bison hunts are the same. That is crazy-talk.
This COW BISON cashed in out in the buck brush. After the big job of getting her rolled up, we got some nice pics to commemorate the fantastic thrill.
The bison on this giant ranch have been out doing their thing since 1908...that is a long time of a herd surviving on the prairie. There's lots of reasons your search for the most memorable bison hunt keeps bringing Jim River Guide Service to the top of the heap! Make the call to get YOUR hunt on the calendar and YOUR pic of YOUR bison on one of these newsletters.
Everybody just as well know that YOU wanted the most thrilling experience...It is YOUR LEGACY!!!
"This was exactly the kind of hunt I was looking for. I’ve always dreamed about bison hunting but I wanted to do it THE RIGHT WAY. Then I found you. This was exactly what I was wanting. It was exciting stalking over the hills and getting this close to these huge animals. This is a wild-west hunt to be sure. Everything about it was great. I hope to come again. Thank you."

"That speaks volumes about what kind of experience you should expect and what kind of a man you are dealing with when you sign up to hunt with Willie. I can't say enough about what a great guide he is, what a great personality he is and, more than anything, what a great friend he has become. That means more than anything else. Be ready for a trip you will never forget."

"Willie, just wanted to tell you we appreciate the thrill and memories we will never forget. Was not sure what to expect but it turned out to be better than anything we anticipated! My Dad and I enjoyed ourselves and are blown away at how big and majestic these beasts are, the size of the meat bull is massive! Thanks again Willie!"

"My hunters have shot over 800 bison, averaging about 4 shots each. That's over 3,500 bullets into bison...not deer, not bears, not moose, et cetera. That's hirty-five hundred shots into bison. I've seen some mighty strange things!
-One of the hardest challenges I encounter as a professional guide is convincing seasoned hunters that bison are bison, they are not big deer.
-Many of the beliefs about killing bison in old west/Indian days are myths established with fantastic movies, spectacular paintings, and fascinating stories passed down from one person to the next. (Are stories passed from one person to the next reliable? All you have to do is turn on the TV for an hour, and it's pretty obvious that even today, people are capable of lying and exaggerating.)
-I've seen all types of bullets get mangled, fail to perform, and perform perfectly. Not just in bison, but even in brown bears. A bullet may work perfectly on the first few shots, then one fail miserably...or vice versa. There is more to killing a huge bison on big country than selecting the perfect bullet, using the perfect caliber, and hitting it in the perfect place. You have to catch a little luck too.
-Be ready for a thrill of a lifetime, and likely a display of American strength and toughness like even the most seasoned hunter has never witnessed. You'll be pumped...maybe even humbled."
