It's all about fun when you're prairie dog hunting. Once you figure out how to shoot them, you'll kill more prairie dogs, at greater distances than you every thought possible. "If you can leave a prairie dog town in a bad mood, you have some serious personal issues to deal with." Willie, your host.
The coyotes are thick...
We have no snow on the ground yet, but this will be what it looks like when we do. Dalyn has hunted everything from prairie dogs to brown bears with me. It started with a prairie dog trip! If you think an Alaska trip is in your future, tell your pals you're booking your South Dakota predator or prairie dog hunt with the man that will PERSONALLY guide you in Alaska. That's a big deal. Building personal relationship with the guy that will guide your future hunt is smart. Just ask Dalyn!
Women consistently outshoot the men!
They catch on quicker for some reason. Men have outshot the women on day one of a prairie dog hunt zero times in over 1,900 hundred days of guiding hunters! Zero is a hard number to argue with. If you don't know why women outshoot the men, ask your wife or girlfriend. If you want to enjoy the activity that provides the most fun you can have with gunpowder, call me to select dates to hunt prairie dogs.
Jim River Guide Service delivers The Ultimate Guided Experience.
It doesn't matter whether were hunting the bigger, faster, tougher and stronger buffalo in South Dakota...or cute little prairie dogs that look really funny when they explode from a high speed chunk of lead. You will look like a star if you book your hunt with JRGS.
It’s time to book your 2024 prairie dog hunt.
Plan on shooting hundreds of rounds of ammo per person per day. Plan on having just about as many laughs. Plan to be humbled a bit by the challenge too, they are small targets.
About the only thing that can rain on your parade on a prairie dog hunt is RAIN. One of the most important things about selecting your prairie dog guide is to be sure he has land spread out over a huge area so he can dodge rain storms. I HAVE LAND SCATTERED OVER 100 MILES SO I CAN DODGE RAIN BETTER THAN EVERYBODY IN THE PRAIRIE DOG BUSINESS. That is a big deal.
I have access to approximately 200,000 acres of prairie dog hunting land. You may have heard about poisoning and plague hitting certain areas of the country. My simple advice is to not go hunting into those areas! That would be foolish.
I am overrun with prairie dogs. It's hard to describe how many prairie dogs we have without sounding crazy. Ask any of my past clients! JRGS provides a target rich environment.
I also provide the names and numbers of ALL of my clients from the last season's complete customer list. That is putting my money where my mouth is isn't it? Other outfits don't do that. Booking with me is the smarter choice. That's why I book up every year. I am proud of that.
If you ever book a hunt with me you will see why my customers are so feverishly loyal. Hunters love the way i do business because it revolves around integrity, hustle, passion and honesty. You don't get that so much nowadays with other outfits. Why risk it with somebody giving you "part" of their client list.
I need hunters ready, willing and able to kill prairie dogs....it is fun and challenging. If you know how to aim and are coachable...you are who I'm looking for! If you are already fantastic shooters, awesome!
Let's talk about my experience, for a moment, as a professional prairie dog hunting guide: I’ve personally guided more prairie dog hunters than anybody else in the world. It's not even close. I have over 1,900 days of prairie dog town experience guiding hunters. Nobody has more. That's over 1,900 days of showing fantastic shooters excellent hunting grounds and teaching willing shooters how to become fantastic.
Booking your hunt with me is the safest bet. It is foolish to risk it with anybody else. I personally guide all of my hunters. I'm the owner, creator and guide for JRGS. The buck starts and stops with me. If you know the value of dealing with "the guy", you're gonna love JRGS.
