Trophy Bull:
Kurt and Steve enjoyed a fantastic TROPHY BULL hunt on the prairie that ended culminated with four shots with a 30-06 and three shots from a 45-70 to seal the deal. This gorgeous TROPHY BULL will look great on the wall.
Small target:
We spent the week trying to connect on an absolute monster mule deer with a bow that would have likely been the largest mule deer we’ve ever taken. We didn't make it happen. That's hunting. But we had several near misses and a lot of fun! Mark connected on this and a few other prairie dogs while we took mid-day breaks. It's all about fun here. Mark is a spectacular guy to guide, his enthusiasm and optimism is excellent.
Jim River Guide Service provides The Ultimate Guided Experience.
Combo bison with your spring prairie dog hunt and return home with hundreds of pounds of delicious bison meat. You've never done that on a prairie dog hunt before!
After your THIRD SHOT that limits you out on pheasants this weekend and ends the hunt, think about all the other hunters who are trending towards prairie dog hunting where you shoot HUNDREDS OF ROUNDS at prairie dogs on the prairie! Who do you think has more fun hunting....a prairie dog hunter shooting hundreds of rounds or a pheasant hunter that shoots three?
"I've hunted with you for six years and have never shot the same prairie dog town twice. There's been several times when massive storms came through the night before we were supposed to hunt and I thought there was no way you'd find dry ground for us.....but you always did. That's why we call you. You're the best." Gary, MD
I have over 200,000 acres of private land to hunt prairie dogs. More importantly, the land is spread out over 100 miles so I can avoid rain and muddy shooting conditions better than anybody else in the business. That's a big deal.
Imagine if you have to shoot in muddy conditions and not being able to see where your bullet is hitting. After all, you are going to be shooting at unknown distances, in varying winds, and likely with several different firearms. I'm not telling you anything you don't already know when I say shooting in dust is much more effective than in mud! Book your hunt with an outfit that can dodge the rain.
You'll get a buffalo hunting story you will be proud to tell your buddies about. You'll be able to look them in the eye when you tell them how thrilling it was and how big the country is that we hunt!
